About Physiotherapy (BPT) Course:
BPT 4.5 years durations course undergraduate degree program at Usha Martin University that trains students in physical therapy. The course is divided into six semesters, addressing a range of illnesses such as asthma, back pain, arthritis, sports injuries, Parkinson’s disease, chronic heart disease, stroke, cystic fibrosis, pelvic issues, physical injuries, etc., and concentrates on the body’s movements. Students learn to identify the underlying causes of injuries during the course term. To provide students with a thorough understanding of organisms, the course also covers various topics on human anatomy.
The curriculum includes courses like Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Biochemistry, Medical Electronics, Computer Applications in Physiotherapy, Basic and Advance Professional communications, Principles of Exercise therapy, Sociology, Environmental Studies, Environmental Studies, General Medicine, Surgery, Orthopedics & Traumatology, Biostatistics, etc. Students have to undergo a mandatory internship of 6 months where the students get intensive training in physiotherapy and exercise therapy. Students undergo hands-on training in physiotherapy techniques, assessment methods, and rehabilitation procedures. They are evaluated through internal assessments and university examinations conducted at the end of each semester.

What is the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) Eligibility Criteria?
- The students must have cleared 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized university or board.
- The students should have completed 10+2 in the science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as the main subjects.
- A minimum of 50% marks is required in 10+2.
- For students belonging to SC/ST/OBC, physically challenged, war widows and other such categories, a relaxation of 5% would apply as per the Government of India reservation policy.
What is the admission process for the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) Course?
The application process for 2024 is ongoing. Students from across India who are willing to pursue the course and fulfil the eligibility criteria mentioned above can apply. The admission process begins with registration by filling out the application form available on the official website and paying the registration fee online. The registration fee to be paid is Rs 500. The students downloading and filling out the application form offline must attach the DD of the registration fee. The DD can be born in the favour of Usha Martin University, Jharkhand, payable at Jharkhand. The application form can be sent through registered post or courier. Without the payment of the registration fee, the registration process for the students will be deemed cancelled. The form can also be collected at the university campus or selected branches. Upon receiving the application form, the university will need seven days to scrutinize it. Once the scrutinizing is over, the students are intimated about the admission process.
